Nomination Forms & Committee Positions

From 1949 our Club has been run with support from parents volunteering time, willingness, expertise,  love of children, or just love of the game.  Keeping up with tradition, nominations for roles can be made at this year’s AGM on 12 November.

If you’re unsure of how you can help, we have a provided a breakdown of various roles within the Club.  We’d love to see you on the 12th to celebrate 70 years of Stars Netball.

Suncorp NetSetGO is Netball Australia’s only junior entry netball program. It has been developed to provide children from 5 to 10 years with the best possible learning and playing experience to develop a positive introduction to netball, ensuring enjoyment and continued participation.

5-6 year olds learn ball skills and play relevant learning games.

7-9 year olds play a modified game that incorporates their new skills.

10 year olds play full rules at a non-competitive level.

Suncorp NetSetGO incorporates skill activities, minor games, music, dance and modified matches in a fun and safe environment. The weekly program for 5-6 year olds only is coordinated by accredited coaches to ensure a quality experience for all participants.

Coaching the Coaches

Energy Netball – Melissa O’Brien

We have acquired the services of Melissa O’Brien, who is an experienced and well qualified coach from Energy Netball to provide 4 weeks of training with all our coaches, and potential coaches at the start of the season.
These sessions will held during the Squad Training for players on Thursday evenings.
This is an amazing opportunity to learn the best way to pass on skills to the girls. We have worked with Melissa this season and can highly recommend her teaching skills. We encourage any Inters or Cadets players and any Parents who would like to consider starting coaching to attend these sessions. It’s a great way to start the process!!

All 2018 coaches will be required to attend these sessions while players are doing Squad training during the first few weeks.
